Is it official, Le Bon Coin is becoming paid for everyone

Last Thursday, I noticed that I could no longer reactivate my ads (I am a professional and have 1700 ads online on Le Bon Coin).

I managed to get hold of a Le Bon Coin salesperson and to my surprise, he told me that ads are now charged for professionals and individuals starting from the 51st ad. I asked him what he could offer me, and again, to my surprise, he informed me that the rates would be posted online on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, and that nothing was planned in the meantime. I will therefore leave Le Bon Coin, which is heading for ruin, because who will pay €3.99 insertion fees for an item that will be sold for €10.

I find it shameful that all of this was hidden from users. Everyone should leave Le Bon Coin to remind them that without sellers, they no longer exist.

Yes, that’s it, but he didn’t know much. I told him that Le Bon Coin would lose a lot of people because people would only sell very expensive items to cover their costs. Expensive: therefore fewer buyers. And Le Bon Coin doesn’t have the international vision of eBay. In short, even if Le Bon Coin puts shops online, it won’t be profitable at all (not enough visibility outside of France).
