Hello, I have two questions regarding shipping costs:
1/ It’s the second time someone has told me that the shipping costs for an item (not the same one) are too high and that only UPS is available. However, in my settings, all shipping types are open. A German person told me that the shipping costs are too high.
2/ I noticed that on some people’s listings, there is a highlighted indication « up to -30% on shipping costs »: how can shipping costs be reduced? It seems to me that it is imposed by Vinted?

Hello Clément, Yes, maybe, but what seemed a bit strange to me is that I had made several sales in Germany before and they never mentioned the high fees, the shipments were always done with Mondial Relay.

The latest one concerns the sale of a nightgown for 8 euros for which I chose the « small format » package and for which the Parisian buyer sees shipping costs of 8.90 euros appear. In fact, €8.89 corresponds to the price for UPS…
You need to go to « choose a drop-off point » and then « list », after which you will see the other carriers and the much cheaper price

But is there anything I can do on my end to show lower shipping costs? Or is it only the buyer who can opt for a less expensive shipping choice?

It is up to the buyer to look directly and select the carrier they wish.

Regarding discounts, it’s quite random depending on the Vinties, it is indeed imposed by Vinted and the « commercial gestures » that the platform offers to more or less active people, I feel.

I have exactly the same problem regarding the shipping costs being too high. A buyer in France pointed it out to me. I explained to her how to choose her relay point, etc… but it didn’t work. I even asked someone I know to try, negative too!

Apparently they are unable to select their preferred pickup point with the +
Knowing that on my end all shipping methods are validated.
I’m not really sure what you’re advising there 
on my end, I don’t have any issues with that, buyers aren’t complaining about it.
Should they contact Vinted to ask what’s going on?
