Question about Vinted Pro Account: How to protect home address (Company Name)?

Hello everyone, fellow members.

As I mentioned in my previous thread, I’ve finally managed to activate my Professional account on Vinted, but while configuring my entire profile, an important doubt has arisen that has me quite worried, and I’d like to know how those of you who have been operating as Professionals for a while have resolved it.

As an independent freelancer, my company name and my place of work is my home address. Upon reading the terms and rules of Vinted Pro, the platform specifies that, by legal regulation, contact details and the address of the commercial activity must be publicly displayed to buyers.

Logically, for an obvious reason of privacy and security (since we all keep valuable stock at home), I’m not thrilled about my private home address being publicly exposed on the internet for anyone to see.

I’ve been browsing and checking other Pro profiles on the platform to see how it appears, and honestly, on many of them, I don’t see the full address upfront, which confuses me a bit.

My questions for those of you who are already Professionals are:

  1. Where and how exactly does Vinted display this information to the buyer? Does it appear directly on the main profile or only when a transaction is initiated?

  2. Is there any legal alternative accepted by Vinted to avoid putting the exact address? For example, using a P.O. box, only providing the town/postal code, or registering an alternative fiscal address/coworking space.

I’m very interested in knowing how you manage this privacy issue, those of you who work from home. Any experience or advice would be very helpful for me to finish configuring my account with peace of mind!

Thank you very much in advance!

On your profile… and on Seller Policies
The address will also be on the Invoice you send to the buyer.

These are legal obligations that all company information must be accessible.
So, No…

Originally, if you were concerned about people having access to your personal address, you could have used a « Business Domiciliation, » with a forwarding service for mail and packages to your personal address. (This also exists in Spain)
This has a cost (average of €20 to €30 per month, sometimes more depending on the services used) but it keeps you safe…
The address of your company would be different from that of your home, while still receiving mail and packages at your personal address.

In any case, when you are a Pro, your company’s registration will be displayed or accessible.
And with just this information, it is very easy to find out the name and personal address of the director.

Good luck with your new adventure as a Pro

And how is it that in all the Pro profiles I’ve checked, neither that address nor the company’s registered address appears?

I have a PO Box, which is what I use on other sales websites, and there I don’t have any problem with that appearing instead of my home address.

It does appear, since it’s mandatory!
Simply, you have the option to indicate it only in the « Seller Policies ».
Anyway, as I told you, with the registration number (SIRET in France), you can obtain everything.

You can register your company elsewhere, with Legal place or you rent a PO box in Paris most of the time, it also lowers the CFE.

I am from Spain and have had a P.O. Box for 4 years, which I use everywhere.

In the end, I was able to make the modification and my personal address does not appear, a pleasant surprise
