Vinted is starting to tire me out, how about you?

This has happened to me several times and it was user error on the scanner, apparently there’s something that messes it up if the relay point person isn’t careful and it marks the package as arrived but at the starting point. Each time I ended up with the package delivered to my home.

Did the packages not leave yesterday? I have 10/12 missing.

They left … at my place.

Yes, like Gametoyrsretro, I’ve had that happen before, and in the end… the tracking updated after 24 hours, it must have been rescanned somewhere.

So, 2 scenarios. No news for the moment. :frowning:

It’s catastrophic, it’s the same, I have to have my packages delivered to other cities…

Hello toinoviche. I understand your problem, because on my side as a seller, I have the problem of having to drop off parcels at Mondial Relay in Perpète. I have one 4 km from my home which, for one reason or another, decides not to pick up and receive parcels. I tried calling Mondial Relay to ask them to install lockers, but there was no response. Furthermore, this Mondial Relay is located in a bar where you have to wait for them to finish serving customers before they will scan the parcel(s). They have now been closed for a month. In this case, I am forced to travel 25 km to drop off a parcel worth €5.:enraged_face:

hello - 1 year later, still the same observation, but I’m still here because it’s by far the most active platform.
I changed my strategy. My goal being to declutter, I try to sell in lots. It’s less time-consuming than making individual listings and less time wasted going to the pickup point for 3 euros…
I thought that low prices would encourage buyers to make lots, but for me, that’s quite rare.
All negotiations are at their maximum now. A shameless 40% off.
Example: an offer of 9 euros on a price of 15 euros for quite sought-after vintage French tableware. I refuse the offer, and this morning the same person makes me an offer of 6 euros again. We don’t really know how to react.
This August is very slow. After a small resurgence upon my return from vacation, it’s dead calm.

I occasionally have these « Annoyances » who play with Vinted and with our nerves…
For example, I refuse an « aggressive » offer at -40%, and the person sends me a direct message with an even more ridiculous sum.
I block these people, especially when they are sellers with hundreds of reviews… They are there to have fun or improve their « bot score » so « Zap them ».
When I have time… I take one of my other accounts… and make them offers on several items, and in bundles, so they sweat a little and think they are going to get a bargain…
Those who chase me up…
I send a template message by copy-paste …
(Thanks to Clemz for this feature  )
« Hello,
Know that if you hadn’t used Force.
I would have certainly bought several of your items.
So, not accepting being forced, I prefer to pass, and buy from another less aggressive seller.
Selena says hello »
:joy: :joy: :joy:

I have had too many situations where, after a polite refusal of a -40% offer, they buy with a « well, I would have tried », allowing me the slightest bit of aggression or contempt.

If it’s « sought-after », it will sell. Why stress?

I’m not stressed, but an offer of 6 euros on my counter-offer of 10 euros is abusive.

I hadn’t imagined that sellers could do that to improve their bot score. Does this mean they get banned and try to give themselves a « clean slate »?

Having already lowered the price by a third after a simple request signals a seller who is hungry. We want to see how far.

In July I changed my offer management policy; before I had a sliding scale based on price, number of items, etc. Now I accept everything, and I must admit I’m much more relaxed, no more worries! Some make offers of -40% and don’t pay, others pay, others make offers of -10%, -20%, pay, don’t pay, others don’t make offers and pay immediately, there’s a bit of everything.

In the end, I increased my revenue and my profits. My starting price is set so that even with a 40% discount, I still make a profit, and more importantly, I don’t waste any more time on it.

24% of sales are made with an offer of 30% to 40%.

No - I’m not « hungry » but sometimes I get tired of seeing certain items and am happy to get rid of them. Besides, I have sometimes put them at Emmaus because I don’t want to see them anymore.

I understand and I sometimes act the same way :slightly_smiling_face:
Some people here tend to forget that the platform is also for « making space » for individuals.

yes, that’s right! There are mainly private individuals. Even if one day it leads to a vocation  as was the case for me

I followed the exact opposite strategy

I decided to focus on price rather than quantity. Thanks to Clemz’s automatic discount system, I offer a maximum 10% discount (or a maximum of €1 on small amounts), and all this without thinking, without spending any brainpower on it. I see my average price increase by 20% between 2026 and 2025.

(This is also due to weeding out a good number of listings with too low prices, which indeed had not found buyers for more than 18 months)

great!

Of course, it is possible to have other strategies, everything is possible. This is what most people do, small volume and high price. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages.

For me, it’s more of a philosophy than a « marketing method ».
