Hello, when I favorite an item on Vinted for a future purchase (and other Vinties have already favorited it), it gets sold within minutes or hours… I don’t understand why. I don’t receive any notification that one of my favorited items has also been favorited by another Vintie… Is it an algorithm? Do I need to change my notifications? What should I do to be informed when another Vintie also favorites an item?

You receive a notification each time one of the items you have favorited is sold.
Therefore, you are notified as soon as one of your favorite items is sold.
You do not, however, receive a notification when other buyers also favorite the item.
So are you suggesting that you would buy it faster if other buyers also wanted it?
This is why you shouldn’t wait too long before ordering an item you really like and that is within your budget.
As the saying goes… It can quickly pass you by…

Yes, I am notified when an item in my favorites is sold.
But what seems strange to me is that the sale happens a few minutes, or at most four hours, after I favorite the item… As if other potential buyers were notified that someone was favoriting this item…
Is there a feature on Vinted that allows buyers to be notified when another person favorites a chosen item?
No, Vinted doesn’t have this specific feature, but there are extensions (or software) that allow you to be notified of a listing when you search for a particular product. (even hundreds)
All these extensions are not affiliated with Vinted.
You can set the item name, the floor price (what you would be willing to pay), if there are many views, etc… and buy it quickly.
Some Vinted sellers use these extensions for resale.
They buy items from individuals (or not) to resell them for X times the purchase price.
