PRO: Mandatory consumer mediation membership

Hello,

A short message mainly for new professional sellers (the subject may have already been discussed, sorry if that’s the case)

I just learned that it is mandatory to join a consumer mediation service when selling to individuals.

Many don’t know it (myself included), but apparently it’s mandatory.

After some research, I found the SMP (Société Médiation Professionnelle) recognized and approved by the CECMC: €30 for 3 years, compared to €100 to €150 with competitors (FNAE). That’s a significant difference… and it allows you to be compliant without breaking the bank :wink:

So, I would have liked to have this kind of information when I started, so if it can help…

And another important piece of information, once your membership is complete, you will need to add the contact details of the mediation company you have chosen to your general terms and conditions of sale on Vinted (and/or on your website, if you have one) and on your invoices (below the line concerning non-applicable VAT → Also a mandatory mention!)
