Why isn't sales synchronization automatic?

Hello, @Lucile and @Clement

I have a few questions or remarks regarding sales synchronization and the general use of Clemz.

I’d like to know if I’m using the extension incorrectly or not, actually! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Why doesn’t the sales synchronization happen automatically, even when Clemz is running?
Do I have to launch the synchronization each time?
Wouldn’t there be a way for synchronization to happen automatically with each sale?
For example, when we leave « Messages in Favorites and counter-offer » in place, we ultimately have to stop it to then synchronize sales, and then put it back.
Wouldn’t there be a way for these 2 features to remain in place (perhaps in the background)?

Maybe I’m asking too much :joy:
Thank you for your answers, both @Lucile @Clement and any other user who has become an expert over time :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello Aco!
For now, you need to ask Clemz to sync his sales. A feature that allows this to be done automatically is planned… but it will not be available immediately.

Hi Lucile,
Well there you go, perfect :+1:
If it’s planned… what does the people want? :joy:
Thanks

You don’t have to stop sending messages to Favorites; just open another tab with the Clemz dashboard and sync sales in that tab. Messages to Favs/offers will continue working in the Vinted tab  Personally, that’s how I do it to avoid interrupting everything.

If it were automated one day, that would indeed be great :crossed_fingers:

Thanks @Sabine
That’s nice
That’s what I’ll do (manually  ) while waiting for automation.

Thanks for the tip Sabine. However, we don’t recommend doing 2 automated actions at the same time on the same wardrobe

Ah okay, for new announcements yes I knew that so I’ll stop messaging Fav but for sales synchronization, since I open a different tab from Vinted, I didn’t think it could cause a problem.

The sales synchronization only reads information from Vinted without modifying anything (no items or anything else) so it’s true that the risk is very low.

But we prefer to warn just in case :slightly_smiling_face:

3 messages were split into a new topic: The Clemz.app backup: how does it work?

This is a question I’ve always asked myself, given that competitors manage to do it. Example: I used to use VintedCRM, and the synchronization happened automatically as soon as the Vinted email « Your item sold » was received.

Indeed, VintedCRM was linked to our Vinted account’s inbox, which meant that upon receiving the « Your item sold » email, the CRM immediately sent the invoice and message, and synchronization occurred automatically.

Admittedly, it’s a small detail, but when I stopped using VintedCRM to focus solely on Clemz, I found this small detail to be missing. Especially since synchronization isn’t possible on the phone, so when I’m in my workshop without my computer and I make sales, I can’t print all the shipping labels at once. I know I’m nitpicking, but I mean this in all goodwill; this feature would really be better.

I’m sure @Clement wants Clemz to offer the same features as its competitors, or even better  (besides, it offers some that are not necessarily found elsewhere)

This is why he is working tirelessly to offer more and more features and accepts all suggestions for improvement

Soon, you’ll see… sales synchronization will be automatic :joy:

I’m just saying… :joy:

Nothing prevents you from using Yandex or Chrome on your phone. That’s what I do because I print directly from my phone

Joking aside… here’s what I did to compensate for the automatic sales synchronization.

I added the Vinted.fr URL to a tab on Chrome startup.

As soon as I open Chrome to do anything (not necessarily manage Vinted), a tab opens Vinted in addition to the startup page.

Then, I set the synchronization frequency to 1 hour on the Clemz dashboard.

This way, when I open Chrome, Clemz asks me if I want sales synchronization.
I only have one click to make  then I move on to something else.
In the meantime, the synchronization happens .

It’s precisely this « problem » that I’m pointing out in my message. You have to be in front of your PC and perform a manual action to trigger the sync, whereas competitors don’t work like that. Automating this action would make it more convenient for high-volume sellers.

Automating it by retrieving emails is one of the simplest ways to address this « problem. » I’m simply offering solutions because I’ve seen, tested, and used these kinds of tools for months.

Just saying… :joy:

for the pc no, you can do it via Yandex.

Good evening!

As some have mentioned, synchronization is also possible from the phone, if you are on Android.

Not offering synchronization based on received emails has advantages… as well as disadvantages :hugs: but automatic synchronization is indeed a feature planned for the near future :slightly_smiling_face:
