Cannot connect to Vinted (on multiple browsers)

Since this morning, it’s impossible to connect to Vinted from Chrome. A message indicates: We are experiencing a technical problem. Try again in a few hours.
On Safari, I can connect without any problem, but Clemz does not work with Safari.
On Chrome, there is a tab indicating that Clemz « works here » that I cannot close, which appears and then disappears. I don’t know if that’s related. I was about to subscribe, but I must say I’m hesitating. Have you ever had this kind of problem?

Okay, sorry, it seems to be a general outage.

Hello,

I am not experiencing any issues with the Vinted connection.
Regarding the tab that Clemz opens, it allows for the exchange of views and has no relation to the Vinted connection.

I am a little surprised by your answer since hundreds of people are experiencing the same connection problem as me on the reporting sites (TOTALBUG for example)

I never log out of Vinted… so I don’t need to log back in either

Yes indeed, this looks like a major Vinted bug, thank you for this alert!

The comments on totalBug confirm it: Bug Vinted ? problèmes et pannes en cours

me too on chrome

I cleared the cache, since then I haven’t been able to log in, it’s the same for other people;
I allowed cookies, restarted Chrome, changed connection, it doesn’t change anything
I logged in on Firefox, it works immediately

I disabled all extensions, it doesn’t change anything
Allow pop-ups and redirects
Try with a blank Chrome profile
Incognito mode

It might be the PC’s IP that is blocked on Chrome

Microsoft Edge (you can use the extension with it) same problem, impossible to log in, nor the Opera search engine

In short, all browsers where you can use extensions like Chrome’s, it doesn’t work

Browsers where you can’t use extensions work like Firefox

Vinted devs decided to mess with us :upside_down_face:

:white_check_mark: Firefox = works

:cross_mark: Chrome, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi = failed

:cross_mark: Incognito mode = failed

:cross_mark: New Chrome profile = failed

:cross_mark: New Windows account = failed

:cross_mark: Shared 4G connection = failed

:cross_mark: Complete deletion of Clemz + cookies = failed

:bomb: Vinted is blocking your Chromium environment at a deeper level, probably via Canvas/WebGL fingerprinting or other persistent tracking techniques that only Firefox bypasses.

Vinted detected automated activity in your Chromium environment and « flagged » it (blacklisted fingerprint or device ID).

Even if you deleted the extension:

:white_check_mark: Firefox works → because it uses a different engine (Gecko)
:cross_mark: All Chromiums are « polluted » → because the fingerprint remains the same, even on a new session

:firecracker: Vinted acts exactly like this on automated behaviors:

:cross_mark: Connection blocked

:cross_mark: « Technical error » page

:cross_mark: No alerts, no ban messages

:white_check_mark: Access still possible via Firefox (not affected by automation)

integrate a fingerprint spoofing or cloaking system to avoid being flagged?

@Clement I don’t know if the block will last indefinitely but we will all no longer be able to use the extension apparently, is it possible for you to make a small script on Firefox Tampermonkey for sending favorites and offers while waiting to find a solution?

I don’t know if you saw the previous messages but it’s mainly a Vinted bug that has nothing to do with Clemz
Tons of people have the problem without using the extension so Vinted just needs to fix it…

It seems the issue is resolved. Connection is now possible on Safari and Chrome.

Are you sure about that? I still get the same message displayed

Oh, that’s good news! Has anyone else tried again and is now able to reconnect too? :slightly_smiling_face:

Comments continue to flood in on totalbug, so it doesn’t seem to be resolved for everyone.
I think we need to continue to harass Vinted customer support because you are not robots, so there’s no reason for them to block you!

Vinted mainly wants to block people who put their Vinted account on a server that manages everything without their action + robots that scrape their data. Chrome extensions are more difficult to characterize as robots because you also perform human actions on the Vinted website.

I hope they resolve this problem quickly, I’m going from €200/300 in revenue per day with shipping and offers to favorites

To €30 in revenue, 1 sale today since Chrome blocked the connection and I can no longer send offers and messages to favorites :skull:

Has anyone tried this « Mike » trick passed around on totalbug?

" Mike
Little trick, open Vinted, in the search bar type for example jacket, select one, click on message the seller and normally you should enter your identifiers and access to Vinted."
If yes, tell us if it works
