Hi Clément
Great initiative, I’ve never used a Forum in my life but I’m keen to use this exchange space.
Thanks for your work

I will undoubtedly say things that most of you already know, but here are my 5 tips to directly/indirectly optimize sales:

  • With a certain number of items (more than 50 minimum), it’s worth creating custom hashtags by size or even by size and model (e.g., #yourusername-jeans-34 or #yourusername-jacket-XL). This greatly facilitates searching and browsing for your most loyal customers who buy in bulk, etc.
  • Description: I obviously recommend using AI (I insist: AI is unbeatable for this) for descriptions like: good condition / warm, etc. It’s not even worth it, it’s useless. Start with: the condition and defects, the cut/fabric style, any important details to know. Then the size and measurements, and finally the « trust » and marketing part: fast shipping, careful packaging, and don’t forget a nice little phrase, it always adds value and makes you… unique!
  • Tools: Use Canva and many other apps to properly crop your photos, adjust brightness, warmth, etc. The photo is 90% of the listing. It goes far beyond aesthetics; it allows you to sell at a better price and faster.
  • Communication: Use Clems but also go « manual »: chat, send a nice little message, an offer. NOTHING is worse than silence. Be careful with your tone: don’t use « tu » (you, informal), you don’t know the person. If someone uses « tu » with me first, it’s an immediate block. I’m not « your buddy » (many, many people think and react like me).
  • Price: Don’t guess randomly. Create an Excel sheet to apply three levels of margins, then look at similar products and demand, and adjust. Always plan for a margin to negotiate. Sending a price randomly not only loses you money but with a large stock, you won’t even know if you’re making a profit. It’s better to revise your price frequently, in small increments, rather than waiting a month for the listing to become invisible and then deciding to apply -40% / -50%.
    I’ll stop there
