Vinted lost my money!

Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever experienced Vinted losing their funds?

It’s a real deaf dialogue with their chat, which is incredibly disingenuous!

On March 27th, as usual, I initiated a transfer from my Vinted wallet to my bank account (online bank). The transfer was supposed to arrive by April 3rd at the latest… it’s the 8th and still nothing! For 3 days now, I’ve been getting frustrated on their online chat! I provided them with my bank statement and an email from my bank that clearly shows all the details to justify that I haven’t received the funds, and the Vinted chat refuses to investigate further because they demand a signed letter from my bank to confirm that I haven’t received the transfer! Which my bank, being an online bank, cannot provide…

It’s depressing me because it’s €360, and I don’t dare to make any further transfers for the moment… I’ve demanded that my case be escalated to a supervisor… I’m waiting for their response…

Are you sure it won’t take longer because of the long weekend?

No, it’s for sure! Vinted gave me an end-to-end number that I gave to my bank and nothing happened! Vinted just sent me a message to tell me they weren’t doing any further research for verification and the case is closed! And my money is lost!

You still have no news? What about a complaint to a consumer association?

There must have been a problem that day because I saw on a consumer forum someone who had the same struggle after making a transfer that day… for my part, I redid a small transfer of €1 and the next day my €360 arrived! Big relief! On the other hand, I learned my lesson by making smaller transfers because when there is a problem, the Vinted chat service is of no help because they clearly sent me packing!
