5-day restriction

It’s more of a fear of data leakage… Unfortunately, this happens too often today. So if we can limit the risks, it’s all for the best.

Incredible, on the same day I was unbanned, I published 4 articles, I made 2 sales, immediately.

I was immediately banned for 7 days.

Vinted is getting worse and worse. They encourage you to sell and then ban you.

New reason, by the way, look:

:small_blue_diamond: You can use Vinted as a non-commercial seller. To do this, you must create a standard account (if you don’t already have one) using a different email address and phone number. Any additional Vinted Pro account you create will be banned.

Thank you for your understanding,

Vinted Support

A big rant.

I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but Vinted is suspected of allowing child trafficking on the platform, strangely here 0 problems, but for us honest sellers we get banned.

I don’t think Vinted will last.

What ???
where did you see that?

Other media outlets are also reporting on this. Some also bear witness online (to be verified, one can say anything and everything…).

In short, an investigation has been opened by the French justice system, this is going to hurt a lot.

I received the exact same ban for a photo from the web 2 days after the ban ended, then I was re-banned for commercial sales and asked to go pro! This is ridiculous.

Hi! Do you republish your photos using Clemz?

Don’t you think it’s because of the Vinted aggressive bot that detects your republications?

I think my account is too old and some ads that used to work no longer do because the bot is too strict

I am now restricted in turn for this reason, as I have published several binders, filing cabinets, and dividers in a row. (And I have been reported twice for commercial sales)

Namely, these are different sizes, colors, brands, and conditions.

Between €1 and €3 max, most in good condition, others in very good condition (frankly, you just need to click to see they are not new)

I have appealed, but I have to wait 5 days.

Obviously, I had activated a « showcase » listing 2 days ago

Do you think I should still delete my hidden listings?

With their absurdity, I am in limbo. They are really annoying, it’s exhausting.

By trying too hard to do things well (because yes, for me it’s better to publish in the same categories at the same time, I’m not going to alternate with dishes and clothes, I find it stupid, inconsistent and ugly) I find myself in this situation.

Here is the message from Vinted:

Certain activities on your account seem to violate our Catalog Rules regarding commercial activities. Therefore, we are imposing a 5-day restriction during which you can neither post listings nor sell items.

Why was this measure taken?

Our team recently reviewed your account activity (including your active listings and the items you have sold), and found signs of commercial activity. Our Catalog Rules prohibit members from using a private account to sell items professionally.’ We are therefore restricting certain activities, such as repeatedly posting identical or similar items, posting a large number of new items, and/or passing off new items as used.

What does this mean for now?

We have removed some of your listings identified during this review.

Your other listings will be hidden from other members until the end of the 5-day restriction.

During this period, you will not be able to post listings or sell items, but you can continue to browse Vinted and buy as usual.

What to do now?

If you wish to sell second-hand items professionally, sign up for Vinted Pro.’ Otherwise, follow the steps below to prevent further action against your account:

Consult our Catalog Rules regarding commercial sales for a detailed list of commercial activities we do not allow.’

Remove any commercial listings or references to commercial sales from your profile before the end of the restriction.

Thank you for your cooperation,

The Vinted Support Team

Personally, I do it systematically.
I wait for them to be unblocked, and I put them back online by changing a few small things and they go through.

These « A…holes » for reporting for nothing…
They think they are the platform’s vigilantes.
Certainly the homo sapiens who tell you « Vinted is only for second-hand clothes »…

Afterwards, I’m not blocked, just restricted

I can buy, but not modify / add listings (just delete them)

If I had posted a lot of new items, I would understand, but these are just worn binders  On the other hand, I make nice presentations because I like to, so for the first image of each listing, I use the same background, but the item on it remains a real photo :sob: and the following photos are normal photos

I feel like the more we try to do things well, coherently, nicely, etc., the less it works

I confirm, the day before yesterday 1 ad was deleted for a photo from the internet… uh, except that it’s actually my photo without AI  I download my reports and ohhh surprise, a report from a member for a photo from the internet… Same thing, I like to take pretty photos but apparently not everyone likes it!

Sometimes I tell myself that it would ultimately be better to do things haphazardly, but I don’t want to!

Cc, Personal, I deleted all the ads that caused problems for Vinted (there were 17 of them). When I got my account back, I switched to pro and republished the ads little by little, alternating with new ads and changing the photos, titles, and descriptions. I didn’t have any issues and everything sold.
