Counterfeiting in the window at Vinted

Because a picture is worth a thousand words. WTF Vinted? Before dealing with our re-publications, clean up your own house. Complicity in receiving stolen goods…

It makes you wonder if they don’t do it on purpose.

In the same vein, there’s this « Nike » jersey that’s been there for 5 weeks without any issues… The seller has several of this kind.

These jerseys are still for sale while my Adidas with all the authenticity labels is a fake and my account is permanently blocked.

Yes Fred, same in outfits for other sports. Accounts where there’s only that, brand new, resold from Aliexpress for twice the price.

I didn’t know he had blocked your account.

And my poor Leclerc football jersey is still stuck in verification

The football jersey is a competitive sector with a bad vibe, in my opinion.

I’ve sold them before, and I always got a lot of remarks, like ‹ it’s a fake, › ‹ it’s this, › ‹ it’s that, › blackmail upon receipt, return of a copy.

I’m not a specialist, so I stopped, but Fred really knows his stuff. It must be hard to deal with being blocked; it’s unfair.

With Lacoste, it’s the same kind of problem.

This is my 3rd block since mid-August

The bots are very poorly configured for football jerseys, they don’t recognize a fake from a real one (and vice versa).

But for my 3 bans, they were Adidas but in rugby, not football.

you need to have experience to tell the difference sometimes. Vinted does the opposite of the adage: When in doubt, abstain

I don’t quite agree because on the jersey I showed earlier, there is no, really no trace of the word Nike anywhere. It’s not complicated to see that it’s not a Nike.

and he sold as Nike? :upside_down_face:

I have a funny anecdote to tell that supports your point :face_savoring_food:

In short, I had a large package to send to a friend (I had picked up some things for him during the sales) and we had taken advantage of a weekend with cheap (or free, I don’t remember) shipping costs. Since he’s a fanatical supporter of OM (Olympique de Marseille), I announced a batch of PSG jerseys for €1. What a mistake I made :joy:
I was flooded with excited guys who wanted to buy the lot from me. It even got to the point where one guy explained to me that it was the dream of his dying father. In the end, my friend posted the same photo a week later, but for €1500, just for a laugh. I received many messages like « Look how you got ripped off » and the guy who told me about his father sent him « Well, you bastard, you really cashed in there » …

A Nike without the goddess’s wing is not a Nike.

For football jerseys, there are many specialized websites and catalogs where you can find references, plus Google Lens and ChatGPT. It helps. It’s not foolproof, but with this photo, there’s no risk at first glance. Catalogs can also be found on auction sites and brand websites. ChatGPT is good at finding them.

Yes, yes. It’s indicated Nike in the Vinted description and in the listing description.

If it’s OM or PSG as well, you’re screwed

Had you had jerseys from Prades le Lez or Agen, you would have been fine!
