Hello, Vinted restricted me for 7 days for « commercial activity, » telling me I need to register as a professional seller. However, I have been a professional seller on Vinted for several years. I don’t understand, and my appeal was immediately closed. It’s impossible to get answers other than copy-paste or from their AI customer service. Has anyone else experienced this? And have you managed to resolve it?
Whoa, no, but this is funny
it’s getting more and more complicated for professionals.
I follow accounts that I like, I see them go down one after another… It’s catastrophic. When I find the sellers (on LBC, eBay, or Etsy), they tell me that Vinted blocks professionals for commercial sales…
there you go.
Hello!
Welcome to the forum
This is a situation that happens more and more often, look at the experience sharing here

Good luck ![]()
Yes, I’ve seen some conversations, but ultimately no solution. Very hard to contact Vinted customer service without encountering AI or automated messages that close conversations.
I managed to get unblocked. I contacted them everywhere by email and several times via the app in French and English. In the end, it was in English that they told me they had made a mistake. I hope this does not happen again.
I wonder how much the different languages cause problems.. I often think that the messages are not ‘read’ correctly or understood.
The answers (if you get one) are often vague and don’t respond to the question at all.
English seems the quickest response but even in English I don’t think the actual words are properly understood/read!
You have to insist to really get someone who responds; often it’s artificial intelligence that responds.
It didn’t last long, I was restricted again yesterday for 7 days. No response from Vinted for now
Same here, it had been like 3 weeks since I came out of a restriction, and here we go again.
I’m sharing a post I saw on a pro seller Facebook group:
Good evening, following my previous post where I indicated I wanted to create a group of Professional sellers, then contact a lawyer to engage in communication with Vinted, I finally took action alone. My lawyer and I met with a Vinted manager in Paris. Here’s what came out of it:
- It was hinted to me (without being stated frankly) that Vinted wants to temporarily restrict high-volume sellers because their AI can’t yet differentiate between professional and private sellers.
- Vinted has invested a colossal sum in their AI which, supposedly, is not perfect and is still in the experimental stage but is improving day by day.
- They acknowledge that their system is not yet up to par and that their AI cannot yet differentiate between a professional seller and a private seller.
- Some professional sellers will be able to stay on the platform and finally have human verification, especially those who are « annoying » (he didn’t use this term with me, but that’s what I understood
) so those who regularly send formal notices by email: legal@vinted.fr with a report on signal-conso afterwards (I’m at 20 in two months, so I rank among the very, very annoying ones
)
- He personally apologized on behalf of the Vinted group for the damage I suffered.
- He personally gave me the professional email address of a Vinted moderator (which I will not disclose) with a guaranteed response and my case handled within two hours of sending the email (Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
- And finally, he almost begged me to stop diverting potential buyers writing to me on Vinted to my eBay professional account (I diverted 250 buyers from Vinted to eBay in 15 days).
- Finally, sellers who are regularly reported without valid reason will be sanctioned with a 14-day ban, then a one-month ban, and finally a total ban.
I just won a battle
There you go… I don’t know how reliable this really is…
I’m especially surprised by this:
« And finally, he almost begged me to stop diverting potential buyers writing to me on Vinted to my eBay professional account (I diverted 250 buyers from Vinted to eBay in 15 days). »
I think diverting buyers is directly a reason for a ban…?
Anyway, these restrictions are very annoying.
Hello, I was also banned and was asked to go pro, even though I’ve been one for years… No way to find a solution ![]()
Hello,
If they could ban all these signalers without valid reasons, that would be really great @leurne ![]()
