Vinted is asking me to switch to a pro account on one of my accounts. I’ve heard a lot of bad things about pro accounts… What do you advise me? Should I switch to a pro account or continue with multiple personal accounts?

The subject has been discussed 10 times: by not setting yourself up as a professional seller, you avoid all obligations, such as accepting returns. What you are doing is simply unfair competition towards other professional sellers, for your personal profit.
It’s simply because Vinted (originally) is not made for and adapted to Professionals.
Vinted’s algorithms are not properly coded to differentiate accounts.
We see this in the restrictions (or « Bans ») on pro accounts that are victims of absurdities.
Having a pro account should allow you to sell « new with tags » items, without limits, but you have some who are « Banned » for « Commercial sales » when this is their activity from the start.
Also, have the ability to deactivate offers on listings of your choice or allow you to offer promotions, not just quantity discounts.
For example, during the Sale period, allow price reductions to be made and visible. An option that would be reserved only for Pros.
You also have legal obligations that individuals do not have, such as the 14-day right of withdrawal, and you therefore only receive the proceeds of your sales after this period.
However, having a Pro account on Vinted can reassure some buyers…
They know that (normally) they can count on a higher quality of service than that of an individual (well, normally)
Let’s not forget the essential… Being able to legally sell in quantity, without one day being caught up by the tax authorities… The risk is not negligible either.

Yeah, well, that’s a Vinted specificity, they are not legally obliged to wait 14 days. On other platforms, I am paid either upon creation of the shipping label (eBay) or upon receipt (Beebs). It’s mainly because it’s simpler for them to manage and gives them an excuse to block money for 20 days (between shipping time and the 14-day period). But hey, they could absolutely do it for new accounts, and once an account is certified reliable, release the money immediately. Anyway, I have my cash flow so it doesn’t change much for me, but in principle, I find it rather poor.
Unfair competition yes and no, the buyer will more easily order from a professional knowing that they will have 14 days to return the item. And as mentioned above, some buyers have more confidence in professionals than in individuals. From a legal standpoint, I’m willing to hear that it’s borderline, but regarding unfair competition, I don’t really agree…
There’s no « it’s borderline »; it’s either legal or it isn’t, and there’s a clear obligation to declare one’s professional status when selling. Would you even ask the question in these terms if you were buying a car for €30,000 and wondering if you’d get a 5-year warranty or nothing at all?
Of course you are, you’re avoiding obligations that represent a cost (right of withdrawal, warranties, obligation of performance which implies liability for shipping …) so by escaping these, you can offer a lower price or make a better margin than those who play by the rules. We are indeed facing a case of unfair competition.
Then again, I’m talking about the legal framework; personally, it’s not my concern and I don’t pretend to be 100% clean.
Absolutely, Vinted could very well pay out before these deadlines, but it suits them, both in terms of money placement and refund management.

But easier for them to manage. Vinted goes for what’s easiest, simplest, with the fewest possible constraints, and I think that’s also what made it successful. but for a professional, it can take a good 3 weeks, sometimes more, to get the cash. With a turnover, yes, but it’s still a pain.
I specify that we are not the police or anything here, you manage as you see fit, but beyond controls, you can arouse jealousy and get denounced. better to be within the rules, especially since wanting to be within the rules, it’s hard to be 100% compliant because it changes all the time.
If I may say so, there is also a lot of unfair competition between pro sellers. We all know about Vinted’s banning issues, and many take advantage of it to report competitors and get their accounts banned… I think there is much more unfair competition between pros than between individuals and pros…
I hear your remarks and take them into account. I will switch one of my accounts to pro and see how it goes.

That’s a very good question. 
Perhaps those who have experienced both cases can answer…
Personally, I preferred to switch from personal to professional and then create a personal account again. It’s quite easy to restart an account on Vinted.
I can understand the sentiment, but there’s also a lot of unfair competition between professional sellers. We’re all familiar with Vinted’s banning issues, and many take advantage of this to report competitors and get their accounts shut down… I believe there’s far more unfair competition between professionals than between private sellers and professionals…
That’s not unfair competition, that’s just being a scoundrel. After that, I feel like I’m being monitored much less than before (in any case, the reports have plummeted). When they see that you hold your ground and you’re still around, they give up.
I don’t know how, but a big clean-up would still be needed, because the number of pros who don’t want to have the status is becoming a pain, a bit like those who don’t want to queue at the checkout. A total lack of respect, egocentrism, individualism, the same ones who complain when they start getting banned or reported and play the victim.
Just mentioning this shows the mindset of someone who wants to f*** over others, and who talks to you about unfair competition when it’s them who are engaging in unfair competition.
No need to get worked up, my friend… I haven’t even been on Vinted for a year, so I’m more or less a beginner and very far from being a professional reseller. It’s not me, the little guy, who’s overshadowing you… When you started, did you know everything? Indeed, beginners don’t know everything and might not do things correctly, but with experience, we learn the ropes.
